October 28, 2018 - No Luck Here; an illustration of Romans 8:28. This video was created at the specific request of Pastor Tim; he had the initial idea - a kid tells "Granny" about a bit of "luck" that led to meeting a new friend. Granny says luck had nothing to do with it, that God was working things out, and then she tells a story to illustrate what she means. Since my group this past session was the "littles" (second thru fourth graders), this is what I came up with. I thought they did very good, especially considering that for many of them, this was the first video they'd done. Written, directed and edited by Cheryl Fehrmann Okimoto.

September 23, 2018 - The War of the Word. This video was conceived at the beginning of the summer during the first drama session. One of the boys was playing the Mission Impossible theme on the piano in the sanctuary where we meet. I said our next video should be one that could include that as background music. The boys suggested we have a war; when I nixed a sword fight, one of the boys offered his nerf guns for the battle, and suggested that our hero make an escape down into “the dungeon.” Someone suggested an invasion by the devil. I took all the ideas from that session and drafted a screenplay. During the process of shooting the video, the kids (including one “big” kid), had some awesome suggestions that I incorporated. This video took many hours of work, more than necessary because we were learning as we were shooting the footage.
